Lust features a tattooed leather corset, with my signature anatomical heart, beaded and felted to give the allusion it is disintegrating.
The tattooed leather motif of the snake skin is one seen in the final look of the collection, The Devil. To book end the collection with the motif and technique, alludes to the visual and psychological journey I wish to take viewers on; in reference to the allegorical journey taken by Dante and Virgil in the work this collection is based on, Purgatorio.
The pants feature cutout like pockets in silk organza, appliquéd with silk organza flowers. Inspired by the over-sexualised misinterpretation of Georgia O’Keefe’s floral paintings.
